Creepy McGee #1

Welcome to the first real installment of the new Creepy McGee feature, which I explained in a previous post.

Sunday 11/6/09

Activities: Wake up at 10ish. Homework for 1 hourish. Delicious Sweet and Spicy Asian Chicken from Wendy's with boyfriend. Coffee shop. Homework for 3 hours. Oatmeal Bran Muffin. Coke. Pasta. Grilled cheese&mustard. Homemade hot chocolate sticks. Hand-dipped chocolate pretzels. Package an order. Make a necklace. Wash dishes with roommate. Pay cable bill 30 min before it's overdue. Whew.

Not so productive activities: Episode of COPS. Salt and vinegar chips. Try homemade hot chocolate sticks. Eat too many choco pretzels.

End day: 1:00 am

I think my productive activities won out today! And apparently my life revolves around food. No surprise there.

Photo of the day: Me and my boyfriend, Mark
This is the fancy version of us. I just wanted you guys to think we're this snazzy all of the time.

This is the face I get after I take too many pictures. Which is like, two. He's not a fan of taking pics. Anyway, this is us in a more natural state.

Tidy Tuesday: Falcon and Finch

Today's Tidy Tuesday is all about organizing your liquids. Wink, wink. Actually, I have been drooling over these glasses since this shop opened and I wanted to share. And they sort of fit the getting tidy theme, right? This shop, Falcon and Finch, is the baby of a good Etsy friend of mine, Lynelle of Bright New Things (her photography shop). Check these shops out! She's great! My favorite thing about Lynelle: her wit. That's what drew me in. And you can experience her wit on a regular basis by following her on Twitter.

Dark blue goblets (Pair) $9.00

Molded smoke brown glasses (6) $28.00 (Yes, if you were wondering, Mom/roommate/boyfriend/random stranger, you may purchase this set for my Christmas gift.)

Star shaped amber glasses (7) $30.00

Creeping...

--Let's face it, we are all creepers at heart. We love to read about other people's lives, we like tracking people down on every crevice of the internet, and we SUPER love looking at other people's photos. You know you do, I do too. In the spirit of internet creeping/stalking, I present to you a new blog feature: Creepy McGee. For all the Creepy McGees out there, I will give you a weekly run down of an ordinary day in my life. Cause we like reading about other ordinary days for some reason. And it will be kind of like a public journal for me. Oh, and I'll include a photo to spice things up a bit.

Today's Creepy McGee example:

Saturday, November 22, 2009

Woke up: 7:50 a.m. |Alert! Unusual behavior!|

Activities: Homework. Roommate talk. Hunger. Wait for hours on food because roommate's mom is paying and I can't miss that opportunity. Organized packaging supplies. [pretty vintage trimmings!] Moved clothes to new house. Boyfriend talk. Turkey on Jalapeno/Cheese Bread! [Fave!]

Not-so-productive activities: Internet surfing. Trying to find deep meaning in Lady Gaga's new video through metaphors and analogies to justify that I like the song. Two hour nap. Internet surfing. Double-stuffed Oreos. Sea Salt & Vinegar chips. Coke. Movie.

End day: 1:45 a.m.

All in all, a lovely day. Not-so-productive wins out today, but hey, it's a Saturday, right?

Promised photos: Me + Roommate (her name is Katie, too). [hey-I'm on the left in every photo!]

She's an amazing person. Here's why: we have a system - I eat the Oreo stuffing and one side of the cookie, she eats the other side of the cookie. She doesn't like the stuffing and that's my favorite. Meant for each other, if you ask me. Of course, she's amazing for other reasons too. But that's the most important. ;)

Virtual Pet Practice

Aaah! I'm so excited about my new blog gadget. May I direct your attention to the left? <---------------- No, your eyes are not deceiving you. Those are fishies that you may feed. I love this feature because it really does remind me of feeding coy fish. It's quite mesmerizing. Go ahead, waste a few minutes of your day feeding virtual fish with virtual food. I know I did. And I will probably do it everyday to practice for the real fish my roommate and I are purchasing soon. This app is very appropriate for my life right now as I will soon be a fish mommy and I'm not very good with the whole pet thing.

I vow to feed my virtual fish every two days. I will keep you updated on my progress. If you see fishies start disappearing, you know I haven't kept my promise. I already see disaster in my future...I once killed an ivy plant with my negligence. [Ivy doesn't die easily, as you may know] Sigh.
